I believe in the design that solves a problem. Technology should be an enabler and not the driver, and this is just not restricted to industry or corporate sector, this applies to "Life"
Starting with print design back in the 90s, I picked up the new media design on the rise of the .com bubble and later got into doing UX for actual products. Worked on web projects and then slowly moving to web and mobile apps. Web, mobile, desktop, consumer durable, embedded electronics, have a wide spectrum that I have catered to.
IDC, IIT POWAI was a game changer for me, where the sensitization towards design began and helped me a long way after I started my career. Took up web projects back in 1998 while the internet was still finding its feet in India as far as the general masses were concerned. Was involved in some exchange projects with universities abroad.
Have been to various countries representing my organization in various capacities. At times, for a client pitch, or at times as a onsite coordinator, a solo designer, a BA, or even as a researcher to organize workshops.Worked with global teams towards a shared goal and managed to ship products both
Have worked on business applications which are data heavy and crafted solutions based on thorough research. Handling complicated data across web and mobile platforms, working across different industry verticals.
Worked on the interaction design for consumer electronic products like STB, TVs, feature phones, medical devices and kitchen appliances, I have a good understanding of how experience has to be carved out for a physical product and have set standards for process optimization while dealing with the embedded systems groups.
Have always has a personal interest in Audio and Video projects. Did a few stints while at Philips which involved directing and creating Product demo videos, Product feature demos, Composing music and creating multimedia presentations.
I've handled teams of designers while working on large projects planning complex design deliveries. I have experience in working with product teams including product managers business partners and the engineering teams. I've executed design deliveries in agile mode, working with various stakeholders and keeping product success as my focus.
An overview about all the different activities under the umbrella of User Experience design that I have done on various projects.
I started learning computer with multimedia applications using video, sound, animations, also a few projects for print media.
Proactive stuff that goes beyond assigned projects & processes. Few design anecdotes on how design changes the way you approach a problem.
A list of projects which were unique either due to its challenges, or certain unforeseeable situations that I ran into.
Have a look at my journey through the last 2 decades which shows my trajectory stating from "Graphic design" through "Experience Design".
It is always a great pleasure to contribute back to the community in whichever way possible. Engaging with the design fraternity on various occasions is energizing, exciting and enriching. Over the last 2 decades I have been grabbing every opportunity that allows me to interact with peers, students or other professionals through events, workshops, lectures or any such forums.

A perfect design never exist. Its perpetual, just like the theory of perpetual motion.
As a designer we should always aspire to go as close as we can to the "Perfect Design". Watch the video to see what I mean by Perpetual design and how various aspect act towards or away from the "perfect design solution which is represented by a Perfect blue circle.
As an armature music composer, I have had few observations during all these years, about how Graphic design, User experience & music have overlapping principles in a very interesting way.
After the recent music project, I decided to write it down and also give examples so that people could connect these two disciplines.
The 1st obvious thing is that both are creative streams.
The iterative design process and its benefits is known to everyone. One point I thought we need to consider in this is the design maturity we gain as we go ahead in time working on that particular solution. The iterations should go shorter as we advance through the solution journey. Once the goal is achieved, the Goal becomes the starting point and you repeat the whole journey with a new goal to achieve and keep moving forward.
